Step 1 | 6

Obligation free site inspection

One of our experienced design consultants will organise a time to meet with you at your home to discuss your ideas, dreams, wishlist and budget.

Step 2 | 6

Design meeting

This is where your ideas come to life. Your design consultant presents you with a custom designed concept crafted to suit your lifestyle and budget. Your input is important, and your design consultant will listen and incorporate your feedback and ideas so you’re fully satisfied with the planned granny flat.

Step 3 | 6

Presentation meeting

We want your granny flat to be perfect and will present you with: (1) final plans, (2) HIA fixed price contract and (3) a full breakdown of what work we will be completing (specification of work). From here on in, we will look after the whole process including building permits with your local council.

Step 4 | 6

Prestart meeting

Meet with your prestart consultant at our stunning style studio to pick out your colour selections, fittings and fixtures.

Step 5 | 6

Construction

Your granny flat’s construction will be managed by your dedicated site supervisor. A final timeframe will be provided to you before site commencement. The building industry is currently experiencing the effects of the global shortage caused by COVID and so you may be affected by these delays.

Handover

Receive the keys to your granny flat and now it’s time to make your little house a home.

Do I have enough room for a granny flat?

Whether you need a teen scene, pool house, or room for extra family members, we have a stunning range of granny flat designs to suit a variety of block sizes. Our designs start from 50 square metres and can be as large as 100 square metres. We also offer custom designs to suit you and your block.

Do I need council approval?

Yes, this is something Summit will take care of, ensuring all council approvals are managed efficiently.

How long will it take and what does it cost?

Each journey and timeframe is different, as each granny flat we build is tailored to suit your needs and your block. Once you have sat down with your consultant, chosen a design for your block and gone through the finer details, you will be provided with more accurate details on costing a timeframes.

My block shape is irregular – is it still possible to build a granny flat?

We offer custom design granny flats to suit your lifestyle needs and block requirements/shape. If you are unsure, our dedicated consultant will be able to visit your site and provide some more information.
