How did you come to the decision to renovate your home and what were some of the issues you were faced with the original home design and style?

We are a family of five and as our three adult children still live at home, we needed to create more space and privacy for everyone.

Our bungalow home was originally built in the 1930s and we have owned the property since 2005.

The original home had a galley kitchen which we wanted to expand with a scullery to accommodate for our large family.

The bathrooms also needed upgrading and there was also no indoor/outdoor living which we wanted for entertaining.

Have you renovated before? If so, how did this compare to previous times?

We were initially very apprehensive about renovating due to various horror stories we had heard in the past.

However, our experience with Summit was smooth with no issues or dramas. We enjoyed every step of the renovation process and we would love to do it again with the same team in the future.

Can you give a bit of insight into the work that was involved with your renovation?

We wanted to create more space and modernise the home by creating various zones to cater for everyone’s needs.  In terms of style, we have gone for a Hamptons theme throughout.

How’s was your experience from start to finish with Summit?

Our experience with Summit was smooth and seamless. We had three different builders submit their design proposals to us, but Summit’s design was the one that won our heart.

Angelo was very professional and provided us with solutions to every requirement we put to him.

Irina, our project coordinator was meticulous with every variation we put through and gave us suggestions on how to improve or save costs during construction. Russell, our project manager was thorough and very easy to work with.

Overall, our experience with Summit was fabulous and we would happily recommend them to our friends and family.

How long has it been since Summit completed your renovation? Overall, how do you feel about your newly renovated home?

Our home was completed about a year-and-a-half ago now and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome of our renovation.
