Receive up to $55,000 in grants when you build or renovate

Posted 4 June 2020

If you’ve been thinking about building a home of your own, renovating your existing house, or investing in property then the news of the recent HomeBuilder Grant and Building Bonus will be music to your ears.

Earlier this month, the Federal Government announced that the $25,000 HomeBuilder Grant will be offered to Australian’s looking to either build a new home or renovate. And the good news kept coming with the WA Government announcing an additional $20,000 Building Boost for eligible homebuyers and investors.

That’s right, if you sign a contract to build or renovate and you’re the owner-occupier of the property, between now and December 31, 2020 you could receive the largest incentive EVER offered to Australian homebuyers!

With the WA Building Bonus grant, this is exclusively to new home builds only and the best part is, the scheme will not be means tested and there will be no property value caps.

Together with WA grant means new homebuyers who meet the income criteria for the Federal package could receive $45,000 in government assistance PLUS the $10,000 First Home Owners Grant (if you're eligible).

That's up to $55,000 worth of grants to build a brand new home!

Sales Manager for Summit Homes David Hunt, said the announcement is a huge win for homeowners either looking to build their dream home, invest or renovate their forever home.

“We’ve never seen anything like it, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It’s also a great time to take advantage of historic low interest rates –they’re the lowest they have ever been, so locking in your interest rate along with the increased grant, is an opportunity too good to miss.”
