Housing: Eight single storey 3x2 with courtyards and double garages
A repeat Summit client, this eight unit development was the fourth project the seasoned property developer had engaged the company to complete.
Two 16.09m wide, 989m2 sites were merged to create a large 1980m2 site. The two lots had the potential to be developed individually but amalgamating them was a better option to save on space needed to be allocated to common property.
The units consisted of eight 3x2 residences, each featuring a courtyard, a double garage and dedicated storage.
U-shaped kitchens, an open plan living and dining area are features of Units 1 and 2 , while Units 3-8 have feature galley-style kitchens with open plan living and dining areas.
The client specifically wanted all units to comprise of three bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a double garage.
The site had the potential to fit nine units but the Summit consultant and the client felt it was better to keep it to eight to create a regular, symmetrical design.
This also enabled the client’s brief to have a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom and double garage layout to each unit be made possible.
All units were completed in a neutral colour scheme to create a mass appeal. They were designed to be sold after completion.
The client was pleased with the final result and said the villas were the best project they had completed so far with Summit.
