Questions to ask your builder when it comes to Govt Grants

What a time to be a homeowner if you're looking to build a new home, with the Federal Government announcing the $25,000 HomeBuilder Grant and the State Government unveiling the $20,000 Building Bonus.

In a nutshell, you don’t have to be a first homebuyer to access these grants which is fantastic news for subsequent buyers, renovators and developers.

However, if you’re lucky enough to have not owned your own home before, you’re still eligible for the State Government’s $10,000 First Home Owners Grant. That’s a total of $55,000 worth of grants!

Now as you decipher through the builders who are all screaming for your business, here are a few questions to ask as you shop around.

Are they well-resourced to deal with the upswing in activity over the next 6 months?
Make no mistake, builders are going to be flat off their feet with the increase in business so you want to ensure the builder you choose is already well-resourced.
