All about the views. When you purchase a river front block, even when it’s a survey strata and one lot of a five (and the rear one at that), you still want to maximise your investment by taking in the great view.

This astute client realised they can have an uninterrupted river view straight down the common driveway, even from the rear lot, so it was with this design prerequisite that the master bedroom was placed over the garage at the end of the driveway, to ensure that view was there each morning when they awoke.

Downstairs the plan consists of an entry with a theatre room adjacent through double cavity sliding doors, a computer nook, the second and third bedroom wing adjacent to the double garage with the kitchen/dining and living area opening on to an alfresco through stacker doors to the rear of the site.

Upper floor is purely the main bedroom, ensuite and his and hers walk in robes with a big window to the front to capture the fantastic river views.

Summit had to contend with the logistical issues of constructing a two storey dwelling on a 322m2 survey strata lot on a site with four other builders.
