Attadale homeowners Lara and David wanted to upgrade their family home to not only create additional space for entertaining friends and family but to also update its dated façade.

“We loved the warmth of the house and its open plan but it was almost 20 years old,” Lara and David said.

Having renovated several times before and managing the process themselves, this time they chose to turn to Summit to manage the process for them.

“Our design manager was very responsive to our ideas, made some fantastic suggestions and was very patient,” Lara and David said.

“it was a long process involving a great deal of communication and negotiation in order to meet my husband’s and my own very different expectations and still maintain our budget.” Lara added.

Their design consultant David worked with them to come up with a design that included increasing the size of their alfresco and their dining area to give them additional entertainment options and adding a games room in their garden area to add another living area for when their children are older and need their own space.

The design also included adding additional storage space with a single garage to the right of the home and the street presence of the home being modernised by removing the 80s style arches from the garage and updating the front porch.

Lara and David were very pleased with the construction experience, saying, “our site manager Adam was extremely professional, an excellent problem solver and very good natured. He always made himself available and maintained constant communication.”

The renovation resulted in a modern renovator’s delight, with plenty of extra room for their family to grow into. “We love it!” Said Lara and David “We can’t believe what Summit have achieved in only 5 months- the transformation has been incredible!”
