Summit South West New Home in Bunbury: Client Story

Please tell us about why you chose your home design. 

I chose the Aspen design as it suited what I was looking for, I was looking for either a 3 bedroom with a media room or a 4 bedroom.

The Aspen was 4 bedrooms, not a huge home, just big enough for my partner and I, but still had space.

Tell us a bit about your new home.

I moved in June 2024, this was my first time building and the experience was a lot less stressful than I thought it would be. Having Sarah, my building consultant, and Paul, my site supervisor, just a phone call away made contact and updates and any questions answered promptly.

I decided to build as it best fitted with my financial situation and it was the best decision I made.

What was the most important thing that you wanted to achieve with your new home?

For me it was just about calling a home mine, but that I also had the flexibility to change things/designs if I wanted.

The part of my home I love the best is my resort style shower and being able to change the design of this was huge for me as I have always wanted this style shower and to have a decent size ensuite. And with this build I got this.

Overall, how was your experience with Summit Homes?

I think the biggest thing for me was Sarah and Paul, they showed me that Summit were approachable, listened to their customer, they were local and were always willing to help and listen. To me that was showing they cared for their customers.

What advice would you offer to someone who is considering building a home?

I did this on my own so the only advice I would give someone who is doing it on their own, is have a support person, although things went smoothly they can get overwhelming, with a support person you can have them to help you through those moments. But also enjoy the moments with you as well as the build comes along.
