Project Overview

Summit Modular partnered with the Department of Communities to deliver 16 turnkey modular homes in Wandina, Geraldton, providing safe and modern accommodation for senior citizens in need of social housing. This project demonstrates Summit Modular’s commitment to addressing the growing housing shortage across Western Australia’s regions, where traditional construction methods often struggle with workforce and supply chain constraints.

Innovative Construction Approach

Each home was built off-site in Summit’s Canning Vale facility using fully framed modular construction, then delivered and installed on site. This approach dramatically reduced construction time, allowing the 16 homes to be completed in just seven months, while maintaining the high-quality Gold Living Standard. By building in our Canning Vale facility, Summit Modular bypassed the common challenges faced in regional WA, including delays caused by labour shortages and supply chain limitations.
