Sharnee and Alex first purchased their Boddington block as a peaceful escape for their caravan—a place to step away from busy lives, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with their Weimaraner, Jai. Even with the caravan’s comforts, their best moments were simple: nights under the stars, sitting around the fire, and soaking up the calm of nature.

The build process with Summit Tiny Homes was smooth from start to finish. Council submissions were managed seamlessly, the project portal provided daily photo updates, and in just 10 weeks their Hazel Tiny Home was ready for transport.
As the first Summit Tiny Home built in a rural setting, Sharnee and Alex’s project highlighted the adaptability of the range. Installed on Surefoot foundations with stilts to suit the sloping block, the home was elevated to capture sweeping valley views while minimising site impact. A wrap-around deck completes the design, creating a generous outdoor living space that blurs the line between indoors and out.
“The deck has a remarkable impact. Waking up and walking out there in the morning feels incredibly special. But also the space you feel inside… large windows and clever glazing give such a feeling of light and openness. You never feel as though you’re in a Tiny Home.”

Here, the “busiest day” might simply mean sitting by the fire with a glass of wine. The property is named El Campo (“The Countryside”) in honour of Alex’s grandfather, a ‘Huaso,’ Chilean cowboy. The artwork of a man on horseback in the kitchen pays tribute to this heritage and marks the beginning of their own country journey in Boddington.
“Having a little piece of country has always been something my husband has wanted since leaving his family’s farm in Chile—Boddington, to us, is the start of that journey.”
