Geographe locals, Michael and Dianne, welcomed us recently into their beautiful Summit home. With an impressive 8 month build time and being their second time building, they shared advice and took us through their journey – from land purchase to design and build.
Previous owners of the Broadwater Mini Mart in Busselton, Bill and Elizabeth, shared their journey building their home with Summit South West.
Please tell us about why you chose your home design.
We chose our design after looking at one of your display homes, mainly because we liked the open plan kitchen, dinning, living area and the stacker doors to the alfresco.
We did make a few changes to the original home design, which our sales consultant spent a lot of time helping us with.
Tell us a bit about your new home.
We had our own block with an old house on it which we had owned for many years, we demolished it to build our new home.
We couldn’t have purchased established as we did have some specific requirements such as wanting the whole house had to be wheelchair friendly.
We have been in our home since April of this year, and we just love it, this was a second build for us.
What was your favourite part of the building process?
We really enjoyed using the @home portal, but I think the best part was talking with our supervisor on a regular basis.
We had a wonderful supervisor, who always had time for us to discuss different aspects of the build, he was very easy to contact and gave us his time whenever we required it.
All the tradesman who worked on our home were a lovely bunch of guys, it was such a pleasure to watch the speed and efficient workmanship going on.
Would you recommend Summit Homes to a friend or family member who is building?
Yes most definitely, and I am already telling people what a great experience we had. I have been very impressed with the tradesman Summit South West used on our property in Busselton, they were such happy folk and did an amazing job.
