Please tell us about your home design and why you chose it.

We were considering multiple different designs with two other builders before deciding on our design. The block has quite a wide frontage so we wanted something quite wide which still provided side access and a good-sized garden.

New Homes sales consultant, Karen King, showed us a design which immediately caught me eye – it ticked all the boxes. The home flows how we wanted with a nice bright living area. We made no major changes to the floorplan just small tweaks which maximised our storage.

Tell us a bit about your new home.

This was the second home we built and we’ve been in for six months now.

The overall experience of deciding on a build was harder this time. we really knew what we wanted this time and the costs had increased drastically compared to our first build. However, we found this was across the board with every builder we spoke to.

That being said the process with Karen and Summit South West was seamless and flowed in a good timeframe.

The build took roughly 10 months since slab down which was fantastic considering the time of building.

What was the most important thing that you wanted to achieve with your new home?

Making the most of the size of the block. Ensuring that the we maximised the outdoor space, creating a fun area for the children whilst making sure we had enough space for us to enjoy the inside. We wanted a large bright kitchen and entertainment area.

How did you hear about Summit South West?

We have known of Summit for a long time but were advised by a family member who also had an excellent experience.

We also recommended for our parents to build through Summit South West and they are currently halfway through their build and enjoying the experience.

Overall, how was your experience with Summit South West?

Very good from start to finish. Karen took us through a good sales experience, the process was simple. Karen was patient and provided many different options to try and meet our needs.

Our building supervisor Joseph Triglia, was also excellent. He kept us well informed throughout and kept the build moving despite trade and supply issues.

Very happy with the timeframe of our build.
